Fresh summer marketing tip #1 – Get organized with Evernote

Summer is a good time to get organized. Although we don’t actually have more time it feels like we do with the early sun rise and late sun set. Summer is also a time when we feel the most relaxed and willing to take on the challenge of ‘getting organized’.

One of the ways to get organized is with Evernote. A much raved about program that makes modern life a little less complicated.

What’s great about Evernote is that it lets you take notes that are then automatically synched across all your devices. This allows you to capture your inspiration in the moment without ever forgetting.

This is great for me as one of the things I used to do to keep track of my reminders was email myself notes. This often happened when I exercised as I would get a boost of creativity. To ensure I didn’t miss any of my creative insights I would capture my ideas by emailing notes to myself.

While emailing myself isn’t a terrible idea it wasn’t great or very efficient. An app like Evernote integrates with just about everything making life less complicated. Thanks to its cross platform support (desktop, web and mobile) its super easy to offload all your notes, ideas, to-do lists, tasks, journal (you name it) wherever you are. You never have to remember where you left it.

Fresh summer marketing tip #2 – Discover something new with Canva

Summer is a great time to leverage your creativity. Try a new tool like Canva and have fun creating.

Canva is a free design tool loaded with easy-to-use features and functionality aimed at both beginners and professionals alike. It won’t replace Photoshop, or your graphic designer for those more complex jobs but for simple tasks such as creating blog headers, images for social media sharing and infographics, Canva has it all.

One of the features I love most about Canva is that it is free. Only pay for the images you need at a $1 an image or upload your own. For more advanced features you can pay a monthly fee but much of the free features offered such as drag-and-drop and professional layouts are all standard.

Visuals can then be creatively and effectively used and repurposed throughout your entire social media platforms. Get as much longevity out of the work you do with images and don’t forget about optimizing your images for SEO.

Your images not only engage the brain of your target audience they also help improve your SEO making your content be more easily found through organic searches.

Everyone is mobile. Make your business easy to find and make sure it is mobile friendly.
